Adding an Image

You can add images to both blank and template pages of your web site. Choose an image of your own or select one from SiteBuilder's collection of clip art. Once you add your image, you'll be able to edit, delete, and reposition it anytime.

To add an image to a web page:

  1. Select Image... from the Insert menu.
  2. In the Choose an Image dialog, click the radio button next to My Images to select an image from your computer's hard drive. To choose from SiteBuilder's folder of clip art images, choose the radio button next to Clip Art.
  3. Use the Look in: pull-down menu to browse for the image you want to add from your computer.

To browse clip art, use the Type: and Subtype: pulldown menus.

  4. To preview an image, click once on the image's file name. You'll see a preview of the image on the right side of the dialog.
  5. Select an image by clicking once on the image's file name. (To add multiple images, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while you click on the name of each image you want to add.)
  6. Click OK.

Note: If you choose to add multiple images at once, SiteBuilder will add the images to the page one on top of the other. To separate the images, just click the top image and, holding down your mouse button, drag it to another location. Learn more.

Toolbar shortcut:

The larger an image (in file size and actual pixel dimensions), the longer it will take to download into a web browser. Whenever you adjust the dimensions of an image using SiteBuilder, the program automatically optimizes your pictures for the Web, saving it at the smallest possible file size.
